Recently emerged studies have shown that brands are now moving away from utilizing Facebook, and in turn are heading to the photo sharing app: Instagram.
Why are brands converting to Instagram? The main reason is that because the brands now that when they post a photo to their fans, they know that every single follower will see their photo. This is lot better of a situation than with Facebook; On Facebook brands most pay money to allow their posts to be seen by their fans, most of what a brand posts on Facebook won’t actually be seen. This trend of brands movement is converting Instagram onto a strong marketing entity.
The report shows how brands have been using Instagram to interact with their followers. Instagram has more than 300 million active monthly users, however, we only hear the official user count at milestones, so the exact user count is unclear, but considering that in the last 2 years they have gained at least 200 million users, and you can bet that number is still increasing in large amounts daily.
One more reason why Instagram is great for brands is because it’s attracting a more youthful user base, than compared with Facebook. Between 2011 and 2014, 3 million US teenagers left Facebook never to return, Instagram is now the considered the most important and relevant social media network there is.
